Course Objective:
By the end of this course, students will be able to examine and discuss how the social and political forces of Shakespeare’s time are reflected in his works. They will learn to analyze literature through a New Historicist lens and identify Shakespearean allusions and references in modern works of art. These skills will give students a clear advantage in future humanities courses.
Course Format: Online Live
Number of Lessons: 15 lessons per semester + 1 test session
Class Size: 8 students
Class Length: 1.5 hours per session
