Course Objectives

To strengthen students’ reading and practical writing skills, build a solid foundation for TOEFL, IELTS and other language exams, and support a smooth transition from local school learning to international curricula.

Course Structure

The program is structured into four progressive levels, from Foundation to Advanced, with 20 courses in total. Foundation: An enhanced version of our CCSS-based course, focusing on academic fundamentals, reading analysis, and open-ended question responses.       Elementary: Builds core vocabulary and basic sentence structures through picture description, simple story comprehension, and introductory writing tasks.                            Intermediate: Develops key reading skills such as character analysis, fact vs. opinion, and cause-and-effect reasoning, while introducing paragraph writing, expository writing, and persuasive writing.       Advanced: Strengthens students’ ability to analyse complex texts, including non-fiction and informational texts, and develops open-ended response strategies, argumentation skills, and academic writing conventions.

Suitable For

  • Student have some reading exposure but need more systematic training in academic English skills beyond grammar and vocabulary.

  • Are currently in the local school system and wish to keep international education options open.

  • Plan to enter an international or bilingual school and need to build a strong academic language foundation in advance.

  • Want to improve their reading and writing performance for language exams such as TOEFL and IELTS.

语言与写作

课程目标: 系统提升学生的阅读技巧应用文写作能力,帮助体制内学生或需要强化语言能力的学生实现超越校内、衔接体制外或两条腿走路的学业规划目标。助力学生为托福、雅思等语言类标化考试做好准备,并为平稳过渡到国际课程体系奠定坚实的语言与学术基础。

课程设置:

课程分入门到高阶4个阶段,共20门课程。 入门:沿用原CCSS课程加强版,侧重于学习学术基础知识、阅读分析能力即开放题回答。 初阶:核心词汇与基本句型结构积累;通过图片描述、简单故事理解进行初级写作入门。 中阶:系统训练阅读技巧(人物分析、事实与观点区分、因果推理等);掌握段落写作及说明文、说服性文章等应用文体。 高阶:强化复杂文本(如非虚构类、信息类文本)的分析能力;掌握开放题答题逻辑、论证技巧及学术性写作规范。

适用人群:

  • 有一定阅读量但英语学习更侧重语法、词汇,学术知识点缺乏系统性学习。

  • 体制内学生,尚未确定是否出国,希望保持未来选择国际教育的可能性。

  • 计划进入国际或双语学校,需要提前打好学术语言基础,实现平稳过渡的学生。

  • 需要针对性提升在托福、雅思等语言考试中阅读与写作部分能力的学生。
